LAW WEEK 2016 RECAP -ORPHANAGE VISIT AND KARAOKE/MOVIE NIGHT!

ORPHANAGE VISIT

Day 3 in the Law week calendar would involve the Law student body visiting an orphanage home. At about 1pm, Law students convened at the law car park and in unison journeyed to the Edo orphanage.

KARAOKE/MOVIE NIGHT

In the evening, Law students across all levels took time out and reconvened to unwind and enjoy themselves in the first ever movie & karaoke night. The event which started from 7pm last till some minutes to midnight.

The event amassed a capacity crowd as the show was completely sold out and the L.T 3 unable to sit the crowd, the excos had to provide single plastic chairs for the others. The show started first with the karaoke section, law students took turns to sing along to popular contemporary songs with ample assistance from the crowd.

At about 9pm, the audience were treated to the 2016 $164.6 million box office high fantasy action adventure film, The Huntsman: Winter's War. Starring Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron.

The audience stayed glued to their seats munching on pop corn and. following it up with cups of chapman, as they relished the ultimate Cinema experience.

Just when the audience thought they'd seen it all, the organisers had some more surprises as the next movie on queue was the $1.149 billion box office movie [Highest grossing movie of 2016], Captain America: Winter Soldier (what with these winter movies?).

However, the movie could not be completed as it was a quarter to 12am when the female hostels would be locked.

The attendees left the venue, grudgingly yet satisfied with their evening outing.

Truly the Law week yet did not disappoint. Students trooped in droves to hostels and classrooms with gist on their lips, and anticipating the Cultural Day scheduled to hold the next day.
